Attorney Mary L. Martin joined the Children’s Law Center staff in 2023.  Mary is the primary attorney covering the Norwich and Putnam courts.  Mary comes to the Children’s Law Center by way of private practice, representing children and families in Child Protection matters. Although she enjoyed working with parents, her passion has always been advocating for children. During her first year of law school, at Vermont Law, Mary interned with the Vermont Judiciary and was able to participate in the Justice for Children’s Taskforce. She continued to work for the Judiciary in different capacities, such as with the Guardian ad Litem Program and Juvenile Court Improvement Program, throughout and after law school. Upon moving to Connecticut, Mary clerked for the State of Connecticut and then went into private practice. As a native Texan and graduate of the University of Houston, she is a big Cougar fan! She also enjoys hiking, gardening and exploring New England.
